I got back to Makai Pier at 1138. At 1142 what would prove to be Duke (RA12) hauled out, seemingly going to Buster, but in fact he by passed him and instead went to Kainoa (RN04), who I hadn’t even been aware of until he looked up from behind a rock, near Buster. All three would remain in a little group the rest of the day.
On a pan at 1305 I found an animal out on the left end rock flats. I was never able to ID this animal because it showed me nothing but a new coat and 2 red tags. Maybe tomorrow ???
Dana called at 1758 with a Hotline report about “a small” animal at the tide pools at the base of the Makapuu Lighthouse. That is a tough trek under perfect conditions. With darkness approaching it would be pure folly.
Team Billand called at 1351 with the first report of the day. It was Pohaku (RO28) at Tracks.
At 1423 the Billands advised of an animal at Lagoon #4, KoOlina. Dana checked in at 1447 to advise that it was Haupu (RB24) at Lagoon#4.
