1/12/2015 DB's Dailies: Haupu&RIP@WP, Pohaku@GR, Team Billand, RW02@KP, Marilyn D

It was one of those rare days in the SE quadrant. Despite many a mile driven and trod , by both Gayle and I, there were no critters noted. My own personal opinion is that they all went to Penquin Banks, to drink beer and watch the Oregon game. Monk Seals, being Hawaiian, are huge Marcus & Ducks fans !! My Neo Monachus gene hears them whispering..... Go Ducks !!!!!  unfortunately da ducks didn't have the outcome we all wanted.... but they had a GREAT season!

 Fortunately, Missus Whisperer had a slightly better day. She called at 1239 from “The End of the World”, were she & our visitors, Klaus,Annette&Walter had trekked today, via the west side, with the report of RW02 in the main pool at Ka’ena Point.

 Speaking of Yesterday’s News, I found Ken Tingman shots waiting for me this morning. He had seen Luana (RN58) at Hidden Beach, and RW02 @ Ka’ena Point on his late yesterday trek.

 Diane Terai called ate 0922 with the report of “swimming head” at Paradise Cove, heading west. Shortly thereafter I got a Billands call advising that they’d gotten a Hotline call about an animal at Lanikohonua, but there was nobody. There was a later report of somebody at Secrets, heading west, though no critter was ever seen. My only personal guess is that it’s a horny Kolohe lookin’ for chicks but ????????

 Team Billand reported Haupu (RB24) at the fence line, White Plains, at 1128. RIP (RR70) would join her at 1207.

 At 1624 the Billands found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Guard Rails.
