October 31, 2025 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:50 am to 1:32 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
On the middle Lanikai side of LPB was a Juvenile Male: weaner to juvenile size, older coat with yellow male belly and two red tags.
On the 1BS side of LPB was a Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, two red tags, gray female belly and she might be molting.
Between 3BS and SRI were two seals:
Adult Female: adult size, darker coat, female belly and two red tags.
Adult Male: adult size, newer coat, light gray male belly and two red tags. Marilyn thinks this might be RK24 Bruno, but she wasn't completely sure.

Team R&B first stop at Pokai they were happy to find RH76 Kala. She was alone on the rocks resting. She stayed for the day, when they went to check later in the day she was still resting.
They were also happy to briefly see their boobie friend Buddy. They hadn't seen him in a couple of days and happy to see he's okay.

Once again there were multiple seals foraging at rest camp.
In the morning they saw RM31 Kai foraging. Later in the day they found him hauled out to the left of Kala.
They ID'd RG32 foraging and at times he was with RH48 Lei Ola. They went out to the harbor area, then came back to the rest camp side. Lei Ola did her best to get away from RG32 but he managed to chase after her every time she would take off.
Lastly they spotted R3CX Nalu joining the other seals. He arrived late today. Team R&B looked for him later in the day at Makaha but he wasn't there today.

October 30, 2025 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:50 to 2:10 pm and there were ultimately only two seals seen.
When she started viewing there was only once seal seen. A second seal hauled out at 1:52 pm.
The original seal was located between 3BS and SRI. Marilyn ID'd it as an Adult Male: smaller adult size, new coat, male belly, not sure about tags. Marilyn is reasonably sure this is the recent molter.
At 1:52 pm a Weaner Male hauled out near the 3BS: weaner to juvenile size, newer coat, male belly and two red tags.
The fledging/juvenile Masked Booby was seen on the outer crater rim with its parents.

Team R&B arrived at Pokai checking out the area, when they heard some kids say look a seal. They asked where, and the seal was leaving the rocks. It was RL12 Aukai swimming away. They could see the ding on her head and on mid shoulders, two tags.  Once she swam away they did not see her again.

On the rest camp side they spotted RG32 foraging mid beach. They realized he was chasing Miss Lei Ola RH48.
Then they spotted another seal joining in the feast of fish. It was RM31 Kai, his scar on the left side of his face was seen as well as the black dots on his chin area.
While in the area they saw a turtle with large tumor on its face. They have seen it several times while out at pokai.

Lastly they saw a seal land at Makaha from afar. But when they made it out to the area the seal departed. They were able to ID R3CX Nalu as he took off.

October 29, 2025 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

Team R&B's first find was at pokai. There on land was RH76 Kala. She is looking healthy and seemed quite peaceful while resting on shore.

Once again there were multiple seals foraging at rest camp in the morning hours.
Their first find was Nalu R3CX. Then they spotted RM31 Kai foraging along side the others.  There were two more, one was ID'd as RG32 and the other they couldn't get an ID. It was an adult with a bleach mark on its side. It was
reported as an Unknown Adult. At the very last minute they saw one more seal that they ID'd RH48 Lei Ola.

Over at tracks they saw another Unknown Adult foraging near outfall. Later on they found RL42 Leia resting alone on the rocks.

Team R&B had made a couple checks at Makaha and finally they found a seal on shore. They were happy to see ole boy R3CX Nalu. He was resting but alert.
