Their first find was their boy N45 Na'au aka Temp 402. He was resting peacefully. They met a nice couple from Texas and told them all about this little seal.
They hung around for a while and the magic happened. A turtle was hauling up in front of Na'au N45. As the turtle moved closer to him, his only reaction was to stare at it. Then he went back to sleep. Team R&B think the turtles reaction was far more exciting.
While still on the west side they were happy to find two more seals. They were apart but both on shore.
First there was RU40 Wai the one year old male. The other seal was RM31 Kai. They noticed a small sore on his lip.
Their next stop was at Kahe where they found a very handsome RK72 Kekoa Alii. He is looking big these days. (he was born at reef runway and discovered by a security guard. Aileen gave this boy his name and became friends with Team R&B)
Lastly they made their way over to plains. When they arrived there were two seals on shore together. The male was RL08 and he was really close to RL12 Aukai. Just before they left, RL08 galumphed higher up and Aukai remained snoozing.
On the way home they saw the NOAA ship passing by Nanakuli and there was a whale that kept breaching. Of course this was while they were in traffic. By the time they were able to pull over the whale was done, but they got a pic of the ship.
