4/21/2017 DB's Dailies:

Dismal & rainy pretty much describes the Makai Pier/Rabbit Island day. It was worth it however since the cast was excellent. I arrived at 0745 and right off the bat thought I might, maybe, have a suspicious looking lump, left of the 1BS back against the cliff. It would take 5 hours of concentrated effort, but finally at 1409 what proved to be RM38 moved enough to show me his left side natural bleach, and a blob mid dorsal that I know to be his N38 bleach. I had last seen the boy on 3-10-17. I guess he got tired of Diane Pike's cookin; on Molokai and decided to come home for a visit.  (or he wanted to come home and visit papa)

At 1121 Kea (RN46) hauled out to 3BS on RI.

At 1125 Kainoa (RN04) & RG32 hauled out together at Seal Rock Inlet. RG32 would spy Kea down the beach and began galumphing that way, with Kainoa following. All three would meet up and spent the rest of the day together.

Gayle checked in at 1130 to advise that Kawi (RK96) was at China Walls. She said the waves were crankin' over there but she managed to peek around the corner and find Kaiwi there. Thank you Gayle!  HI GAYLE!

The Billands checked in at 0555 to advise that they could hear somebody bellowing in the dark off shore of Paradise Cove, but nobody ever hauled out during their stay.

At 0718 the reported Pohaku (RO28) at Nanakuli Beach Park.

At 0940 the Billands reported RK36 at Nani Kai Beach Park.

At 0950 they confirmed RN14 & Lei Ola (RH48) at Maili. RN14 was gone on their 1334 recheck.

Posse member Christian Young was out on a Circle Island tour and found R5AY in Hauula 1037. Thank you Christian !
