4/26/2016 DB's Dailies: Sadie,Kainoa,RM38&Nani@Rabbit Island, Kaiwi@Kokee Flats, Kekoa@Maili Pt, 4-26-16, Y/N Kolohe@Molokai

At 0609 I found Sadie (RB12)& Kainoa (RN04) just moving down to the water line at the far left end of Rabbit Island. They would spend most of the day, partially visible behind the rocks.

At 0745 I found what would prove to be Nani (RK60) in the Morning Glory , 80 ft right of 3BS. It would take many hours before I finally saw that N50 bleach on her left shoulder.

Sadie & Kainoa had a nice quiet day going, but at 1116 all that changed at 1116 with the arrival of RM38. He barged right in the calm, and went at it with Kainoa which he ran off, but Kainoa hung around just off shore. Sadie wasn’t the least bit happy with his attention and they went at it several times, before he finally moved off the the left end rocks, and Sadie moved up. Kainoa would seize his opportunity at 1410 and hauled out to join Sadie again, but she made it abundantly clear that she didn’t need him either, and he moved off to spend the rest of the day just out of her range.

Gayle called at 1144 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Kokee Flats. On Todd & Darlene’s 1414 check she was gone. They also checked China Walls & Spitting Cave, but there was nobody home.

At 0845 Team Billand reported 2 foragers off shore of CIP, but they weren’t able to get an ID on either. Both animals departed to the west.

At 1042 they reported Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point, by himself today.

In the Yesterday's News department Diane Pike reported Kolohe on Molokai yesterday.
