11/14/2015 DB's Dailies: Kolohe,Kimo Kai&Kainoa@Rabbit Island, Kea&U/U@Sandy Beach, RI37@Hauula, Nihoa@Kuilima Beach, TB, RK36,Luana&BG@Ka'ena Point, RW02@Mokuleia, Benny@Paradise Cove

At 0709 I found Kolohe (RW22) & Kimo Kai (RT12) in the Morning Glory fronting 1BS, and what would prove to be Kainoa (RN04) also in the Morning Glory, 50 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet. They would remain all day.

At 1049 Gayle called reporting Kea (RN46) at the outfall, Sandy Beach. I arrived at 1100 and we cordoned him off. Thank you Gayle !

Diane Gabriel called at 0923 with the report of RI37 in Hauula, fronting the Fire Station.

Diane would call again at 0941 advising that Nihoa (R912) was a Kuilima Beach, Turtle Bay.

Marilyn&Lesley made the usual trek to the End of the World today. They reported a possibly molting, RK36 on the back beach, and Luana (RN58) high up in the Naupaka at the main pool at 0949.

At 1101 Marilyn texted that there was animal at BG’s pool. It would prove to be BG (R303). Marilyn also wanted you to know that the Albatross are back !

At 1230 Marilyn reported RW02 near the Lyman Estate, Mokuleia.

Gina Walker & Melanie were hanging out with Kea. Gina called at 1513 to advise that another animal had shown up at Kea’s location. According to Melanie the animal rolled in the shallows at Kea’s outfall location for several minutes, but did not haul out, swimming for to the west. This is classic Buster behavior, and he is known to do this when in the neighborhood, but ????? Photos were inconclusive. Kea was still there at dark.

At 1624 I found an Instagram shot of Benny (RE74) at Paradise Cove. There had been word of an animal there today. Dana called at 1839 to advise that Benny had finally departed. Mahalos to those who served.
