At 1200 Duke hauled out fronting 3BS . He too remained there all day.
The all day stays were a bit of a surprise because from 1245 until 1430 I had two people on Rabbit Island. The arrived via kayak, and hauled out just a few feet from Kolohe. They proceeded to explore the island tip to tip, passing all 3 of the No Landing signs twice, as well passing both the animals twice. Fortunately, there was no interaction. They were met by DOCARE Officer Maui upon their return to Kaupo Beach Park.
Team Billand reported RI37 once again at Guard Rail Beach, Maili. She stayed out on the reef most of the day, but Barbara called to say that she finally hauled out to the beach at 1515.
At 1552 Barbara called to report that they had found Benny just around the corner from RI37, at Maili Point.
Bunch of dopes heading for Rabbit Island... Yea! DOCARE
Benny with his new marking on his head.
RI37 stay safe baby girl

Viewing I37 yesterday in morn and late afternoon, she really wants to land and bask. She is very observant, very alert of people. Will go away, quickly if she sees someone coming. Thats good. She just swims alot, but can't see her using those back flippers. She is still very sweet, very pretty face, I better understand her injury, still not nice to view. She was spotless before. But she is a tuff cookie and she is hanging in there. She almost went out to sea yeasterday, but it's like she understands, she needs to rest and heal, she turned and came right up on shore. Wouldnt ya know, two rotrielers arrived, intently viewing her, but owner was GREAT, leashed both dogs and just stood back, way back. Since she took so LONGGGGGG to haul up, we left and let her be. I think she will be ok and I am grateful for that. Ipo, thats what we call her, means alot to Rob and I. SHe is R5AY's daughter, HOKU'S sister and Penelopes too. Isnt that amazing?
