July 6, 2026 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:07 to 2:31 pm and there were nine seals seen during that time. Which made it difficult to keep track of all their identities.
Out on the LPB rock flats there were two seals. Whether it was the same two seals during her entire viewing session is an open question.
Weaner Unknown : weaner size seal with tags on the rock flats.
Juvenile Unknown: juvenile to sub-adult size, no info on tags or sex.
Early in Marilyn's viewing session  there were two small HMS on the Lanikai side of LPB:
RV50: weaner female, light female belly and three red tags.
Weaner Male: galumphed over to RV50 and then they both entered the LPB channel.
At 1:46 pm, a Sub-adult Unknown hauled out and moved up to the middle of the LPB: sub-adult size with two parallel scars on the right shoulder, no info on tags or sex.
RH76 Kala and PO13 were again on the 1BS side of LPB. Mom and pup moved around some and up the beach. Marilyn saw one nursing session later in her viewing. Both mom and pup seem to be doing
well.
Out between the 3BS and SRI channel was new weaner PO10: weaner size, dark upper coat, no tags, lighter ventral.
Later in Marilyn's viewing session, ultimately three young seals hauled out on LPB. Marilyn thinks two of these were RV50 and a  weaner male, the other is either a weaner or juvenile.

Team R&B were out at the pup site today. Their first thought was PO11 sure is growing fast. Upon arrival they were at the rocks
exploring. Then they came towards the trees and landed on shore for a nursing session and a snooze.
Later they moved to the rocks, PO11 moved 10 feet away from mom and she was not happy. She barked at the pup and bee lined it back to mom.
Then there was one ignorant guy with a big dog on a leash. Volunteer went to talk with him and told him no dogs on the beach for now. He replied "Really, I don't see any signs, so volunteer pointed to the signs to the left. The dude said it doesn't say no dogs. He went nuts and
gave them the finger, grabbed his balls along with lewd gestures. Someone saw what was happening and took some photos. Volunteer called the police and gave them his plate number. They sped off. When the police arrived  they took the information along with the photos. Sadly all the guy had to do was move over to the other side with his dog.
Team R&B left at 2:30 pm, they had been out there for a long time.  They were happy that the fishing poles and crowds were gone.
