Dailies from June 19, 2026 Friday

Here are the dailies from Friday June 19, 2026 from Marilyn and Team R&B💕

On Friday Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:47 to 2:38 and there were seven seals.
Out on the side of LPB channel were RM26 Nohea and PO10. Marilyn saw the pup's head while it was nursing behind mom. Laterr she could see them in the LPB channel and they finally hauled out at 1:50 pm.
In the LPB channel was a Weaner Male: not sure which one. The weaner male was not too far from RM26 and her pup when they hauled out.
Marilyn only saw two of the weaners, she wasn't sure where the third weaner was.
Between the 3BS and SRI near the waterline were three seals who changed positions several times:
Sub-adult Female: large juvenile to sub-adult female, light female
belly, not sure about tags.
Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, mottled male belly, not sure about tags.
RU38: juvenile female who has a sub-adult size, old coat with lots of green, two red tags.
Initially out on the rock flats between the 3BS and SRI was RV50 (PO3) weaner size, female belly, three ted tags. Later RV50 joined three seals between the 3BS and SRI. The four seals all entered the water for a while. Later three older seals hauled out and Marilyn lost track of RV50.

Team R&B first find on the west side was RU12 at the zen area. She was alone and it is her third day. Also so green, possible molt?

Next stop they was at plains and much to their joy there was RH48 Lei Ola. She was on shore fresh from weaning her pup. She's looking thinner than usual but at a good weight.
By the cabins was the cute male RT06. He had his own SRA and doing okay. Looks like he gained weight which is good, even though
he's a good size boy.

Finally Team R&B made their way to the pup site. Rocky RH58 and PO11 were both on shore resting together. But that didn't last long, PO11 woke up looks at the water and hurried in, with Mom just watching.
Then when the pup got hungry there was another feed, snooze, and off into the water again. This time the kid got sucked out to deeper water. Momma Rocky woke up, opened her mouth wide and loudly barked at the kid. She sees there's a problem and entered the water looking for
the pup. Wave after wave keeps the pup pass the rocks. Needless to say this was nerve-racking. Momma Rocky reached her pup who hung onto mom's neck. Another wave pup goes out but Rocky uses her body to block pup from going out again.  Mother's instant along with mother nature is very cool.
They made it to shore, another feed, pup was exhausted. Then out of nowhere a wave hit them. Mom rolls gently on pup with belly, holding PO11 in place. Today PO11 is 6 days.
