November 12, 2023 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn, posse pal Kathy and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:56 to 2:54 and there were six seals and one human seen during that time. Marilyn took time to assist a volunteer capture five Wedge-tailed Shearwater fledglings on the pier.
Initially alone on LPB was a Female Weaner: weaner to juvenile size, old coat with lots of green, female belly and two red tags.
When Marilyn was getting ready to leave, an Unknown Adult hauled out to the Female Weaner. UA: adult size, new coat, two red tags, and light gray belly. The UA nosed the FW but then moved behind her and went into snooze mode.
Between 3BS and SRI were three seals:
Closest to 3BS was an Adult Male: adult size, new coat, dark male belly and at least one red tag.
Next there another adult male with an old coat with a fair amount of green. She is reasonably sure this is RG32 who was at the blowhole yesterday. His scar above his right eye was visible.
A short distance away from RG32 toward SRI was a Subadult Male: smaller subadult size, new coat with light gray male belly and two red tags.
At the SRI channel was an Unknown Juvenile: weaner to juvenile size, newer coat, two red tags. Marilyn never saw its ventral side so she has to report it as an unknown.

Posse pal Kathy O often checks for seals on the Ewa side. Today she found Rocky RH58.  Kathy usually goes out earlier in the morning but today it was a little later and there was Rocky!

When Team R&B got to their first stop and spotted a seal swimming by. They were hoping it was RQ42, but it wasn't. It was RL08, by himself. Later two fishers on the rocks, thankfully they let RL08 be, at least while Team R&B were watching.
There were lots of dolphins living their best life out there. Team R&B witnessed while the lifeguard was watching the swimmers and keeping them safe dolphins popped up around him.  Maybe they were keeping their eye on him to keep him safe.

Team R&B searched forever looking for seals and coming up empty. Finally, they found one last seal, who was none other than RH48 Lei Ola. She was on the rocks alone looking fat. She was restless trying to find a comfortable spot for her fat belly (hmmm I can so relate).
