01/23/2021 Saturday (part 2) Lesley's Ka'ena Update

Another Big Swell rolled in during the night and kept waking us up with the sound of the crashing waves. Smaller than the 50" but the wind was in the right direction bringing the sounds straight into our room.

In the seal world first finding was RW02 PVKauai, today in a much more comfortable spot where he overnighted.
Next RN58 Luana in a tide pool being washed by the big sets, she was still there being rolled around on my last check
RL74 Kami was as high as she could escalate on boulders to be safe and dry. She's a character that one, I always look forward to where I'll find here.
R330 Squinty crossed the bay and made it to the point. He was trying to sleep but kept getting splashed by the Big Swell sets. He had plenty of space to move up to higher grounds but opted to stay where he was.
Once again, I had to deal with some violation issues and wasn't able to document the Albatrosses. They were soaring in the wind and whistling around.
More soon - Stay Safe ðŸŒºðŸ˜·
