01/06/2021 Wednesday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

Team  Billand started their morning at the outfall. When they arrived there were two seal in the outfall playing and foraging. It was none other than bosom buddies Kaale RH32 and Kalani RN14. By 9 am the two of them left the outfall and here heading towards tracks.

Of course Team Billand headed over and when they arrived and now there was three. Kaale, Kalani and RG28 Lefty. Lefty was already on shore and the two boys joined him The three argued and then they entered the water for a half hour. They called the hotline.  The three boys hauled out again and the surfers were passing by a little close at times.  Team Billand stayed with them and had a work out keeping an eye on them on land, leaving and landing and leaving.

Finally RN14 Kalani landed again fronting the parking lot of Tracks. The other two Lefty and Kaale

were back in the water near shore. More surfers arrived and Team Billand called it a day and left the site.

Team Billand went out to the bay about noon time. Today there were only three fishermen on the jetty, seems they realizing the fish are gone away.  RN44 was already up on the rocks to the left alone.  Rl20 Kalua was hidden pretty good in the rocks. He was snoozing peacefully even with the homeless camp around the corner.  They heard a sneeze and went back to investigate. There was Lei Ola RH48 who they didn't see initially. She is looking healthy getting very green. It's a good thing she sneezed or they would have missed her.

R3CX Nalu was seen by the jetty foraging and then went missing. Team Billand went back to check on Lei Ola and Nalu hauled in and was getting super close to Lei Ola, she was not happy. He would settle down right next to her and finally there was peace and quiet. They were happy to see all the critters and left them all settled in.
