September 4, 2019 Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

Team Billand went to KoOlina and found RH92 in the same area as yesterday. There were no signs up so they called the Aloha Team once again. They hung out and watched Miss RH92, then security arrived and they along with Team Billand put up a zone. They also did their best educating the early birds checking out the beach.

Team Billand counted 63 guest between 6:15 - 9 am.  They waited to see if any volunteers would arrive. They were reluctant to leave, but needed to check other locations.

The next find for Team Billand was Kekoa Alii RK72. He was alone resting on the rocks at a west side location.
They did another check in with him and he was till there alone sleeping.

Certainly over the last 40 something days with Pohaku and Nanea, Team Billand hadn't been to their usual check points on the west side. But today they were thrilled they did!

At one of the location they looked over and saw a female, laying there and the bright sun reflecting off it's body.  They were curious who this bathing beauty could be, and was beyond happy to see tags RH48. It was Lei Ola who has a brand new coat. She is looking healthy, and good condition, not to mention she's gorgeous with her new coat.

Well if that wasn't enough happiness for Team Billand, this certainly put the icing on the cake.  At a different location, this seal was so well hidden it took some time to get a clue as to who it might be. Also Team Billand did not want to draw any attention to her, so they left, and then came back to check again. There was a tag and a subtle scar on right side of her head, they were able to ID RL42 Leia.  She is looking to be in good condition and in a very good hiding spot.
