12/29/2018 Monk Seal Dailies: (part 1)

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. Lesley's complete update is part 2 of the dailies. Nice to see all those seal faces!

Team Billand were out by 7 am and upon arriving at a westside beach they saw a group of people taking pictures and there was Pohaku RO28. Team Billand spent time educating and asked they keep their distance so seal could rest.  One dude wanted to share his chocolate eclair and long john with her,  they advised should feed the seals especially junk food. NOW if I would there I would have taken the eclair asked if he had any coffee to go with it and then proceed to eat it,,,, but that's just me.
Team Billand called the hotline and left to check for more seals.

Team Billand next stop found Mr. Benny RE74 who was in the company of the cabin folks and folks coming from the west side with cameras in hand. They did their best to educated the crowd, but they couldn't stay long, as they had to pick up junior sealette Olivia.
They did recheck on Benny and Pohaku on there way back. Benny was gone.

At one of their stops they spotted a seal offshore foraging in rough surf. They could easily see Kolohe's applied bleach number N22 even from a distance.  They didn't see him haul out and left for their next stop.

Team Billand went to check on the boyz and they found Ka'ale RH32 on the lower rocks, sleeping with a little bit of the tags showing.
RIP was to the right on the lower shallows up against the rocks snoring.
When they went back in the afternoon both seal remained. RIP & Kaale resting together.
