12/17/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

Their first sighting was multiple critters foraging and fighting  off Maili Point. Team Billand was unable to ID the swimmers. There was one animal that came up on the rocks which they ID'd as RIP RR70.

Soon after RIP hauled out another critter came in slithering toward lower rocks, where RIP was resting. RIP whooped just once and the critter moved to the side. Team Billand ID'd Kalani RN14.
While watching over these two, a gentleman came over and told them there was a seal on shore at another nearby beach. Robert decided to head over and check it out while Barb stayed with the boys.

When Rob arrived he found RW02 PvKauai on shore alone sleeping peacefully. There was a woman who almost stumbled on him while looking for shells. She was concerned that the seal was okay, and Rob was able to give her a little monk seal basics.  They called the hotline to inform. Later in the afternoon they checked back and he was still there. Unfortunately there were footprints and dog prints near him.

 UU who are you?
