Team R&B started their day at pokai where they found Miss Kala RH76. She was alone in her pond resting comfortably. She is looking big these days. There were a few folks around and Team R&B did some HMS 101 with them. While hanging out with Kala they spotted a mocking bird on the rocks.
At another west side location they were thrilled to find four seals. They were all hauled out on the rocks.
They first ID'd RM31 Kai on the outer rocks by himself. Then on the lower rocks was RU12 the little 2025 female. Then there was their big boy RH32 Ka'ale. And lastly they ID'd RW02 PvKauai who they noted has a lot of scars.
Next stop they found two seals sleeping in a spot that is one of the worse places to be. It is right where everybody heads out to surf. Someone had called the hotline, but no volunteers arrived while Team R&B were there. The two seals were RN14 Kalani and RG32. The two males rested and didn't care they were in a bad spot.
Then they spotted another seal from afar. It was RP28 Wakea hauled up by the grassy area. He was alone and snoozing. Most of the folks passing by let him be, but there are always those that had to get up close for their photo op.
Team R&B ended their day spotting a pod of whales. Unfortunately the glare was pretty bad making it difficult to get any photos. They did manage to get one good shot.
