They started their day at Pokau where they spotted a seal on the rocks. It was RG32 alone snoozing. At times and probably his position they could see his ribs. He was laying their quiet keeping to himself.
While onsite they saw a seal trying to go up on the seal inlet, but was having trouble. It was RH76 Kala having a hard time making it up. She went to the other inlet where RG32 was sleeping.
He knew she was coming, looked up checked her out and went backto sleep. RH76 came up, all of her big beautiful body, looked over the rocks to check out RG32. He was snoozing so she finished her hauling up and then went to sleep.
They watched at the paratroopers were practicing. There was a ship out in the waters and a whale close by them. As Team R&B were walking out they noticed a "rock" that wasn't there earlier. It was RU12, she was just hanging out doing okay. They noted there was no hook seen.
From afar they spotted a seal on shore at electric beach. It didn't take long for a fan to come along and take a couple of selfies.
At Kahe they were happy to find two seals. There was RM31 Kai and RL20 Kalua.
While watching some whales they were concerned about one of the whales off shore. Its behavior just didn't seem right. Team R&B havebeen watching whales since 1982. They were concerned the whale might be injured or stuck on something. The whale tossed its fluke side ways over and over, not up and down. There seem to be a calf with it too. There was no breaching at all, just tossing of the fluke sideways. This has been reported to NOAA.
