12/19/2015 DB's Dailies: RM38&Kolohe@Rabbit Island, Ka'ena&RW02@Ka'ena Point, Pohaku@Campbell Industrial Park, Benny@White Plains, RI37@Kahuku Golf Course, R5AY@Ola's&Holokai@Keiki Pool, Turtle Bay

I arrived to Makai Pier at 0802 and initially thought there was nobody home on Rabbit Island, after multiple pans of the beach. I knew that was unlikely with RM38 molting and sure enough on my umpteenth pan I found that likely looking brown rock amongst the tall grasses, right where he has been the last three days. It was RM38. He would move down at 1131.

At 0924 Kolohe (RW22) came galumphing out of the shore break fronting 1BS , moving up into the Morning Glory and snuggling up to the log. He too would later moved down. Both remained all day.

At 0802 Team Billand reported a foraging Pohaku (RO28) once again off shore of the lighthouse at Campbell Industrial Park.

At 0918 they found Benny (RE74) at #1708, White Plains. Mahalos to Warren for the relief. Warren reported Benny’s departure at 1630.

Marilyn & Lesley were at the End of the World as usual on a Saturday. They found RW02 at the Runway, and Ka’ena (RO40) on a rock at the Main Pool.

Bikers had told them that they’d seen an animal at Hidden Beach, however there was nobody there when they arrived.

Diane Gabriel called from the beach behind the west end of the Kahuku Golf Course, with the report of an U/U. At 1325 RI37 was kind enough to roll and give her the ID.

Diane also provided news that I hadn’t been aware of. Apparently R5AY overnighted at Ola’s and Holokai was at the Keiki Pool. Thank you Diane. I’d be lost without you. ( I agree with ya on that one DB).... :-)
