July 9, 2023 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12 noon to 2:23 pm and there were three seals when she first arrived. Another two arrived a little bit later.
Near each other on LPB was an Adult Female 1 and RK37 Huia. The A/F1 is very likely the same A/F that was in this location yesterday: adult size, tannish-yellow female belly and two red tags.
RK37 Huia is about 75% molted. Her NB was visible today when she rolled over.

Nearer to the 1BS was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, light tan female belly and two red tags.
Marilyn originally thought it might be a weaner but decided her size and coloration were not that of a weaner.

At about 12:08 an Adult Male galumphed out of the water and up to AF1 and RK37. The AM was adult size, medium gray male belly and two red tags.

Then at about 1PM what turned out to be Adult Female 2 and a weaner hauled out to join the AM, AF1 and RK37. There was lots of moving around and interactions.

Marilyn originally thought AF2 was a male because of the behaviour between her and the AM, but she is reasonably sure she's a female: large adult size, dark gray female belly and thinks there were two red tags. During on of the interactions between the AF2 and AM, the AM's penis was visible for several minutes.

Team R&B waited at one stop for over an hour and no seals showed
up. They drove to the next stop and got skunked again. They came up empty most of their day. Then FINALLY around noon they found three males hanging out together.
There was RM31 Kai, R416 Makalii was right nexr to RG28 Lefty.
They were over joyed to pull out the day with the three boys being all sweet. They had looked everywhere and it finally paid off.
