3/6/2017 DB's Dailies: Kawena@Rabbit Island, Benny@Secrets, Kolohe&RW02@Guard Rails, Kekoa&RN14@Maili,RIP@Nanakai, Buster@White Plains

After going Cold Turkey, with no critters for 3 days, it was great to have little Kawena (RH36) haul out of Seal Rock Inlet at 0952. She would somehow manage to stay all day despite a couple of encounters with those two legged things. The most egregious of those was a chronic RI abuser of RI, in his canoe with 3 others, who arrived in the afternoon. Two individuals went on the island and had a interaction with Kawena. DOCARE was call, of course, but once again, no response.

At 0600 Team Billand reported Benny (RE74) once again at Secrets.

At 0825 their next call reported Kolohe (RW22) just arriving to Guard Rails.

At 0844 the team found Kekoa (RK72) at Maili.

At 1506 they reported RW02 joining Kolohe at Guard Rails.

Team Billand got a call from lifeguard posse member Dennis, advising that Buster (RV08) had hauled out to White Plains.

At 1630 the Billands reported RN14 joined Kekoa at Maili.

ALSO... Rip was seen by Team Billand at Nanakuli :-)

I got a call from a posse member in the afternoon, asking if I’d seen the Garden Island News article concerning R4DP, a 15 y.o. Kauai female having been found dead on Kauai on Feb. 23. I had not, and not being privy to info, a little in depth investigative reporting was required. Fortunately, it was an easy undertaking. All three of the local TV sites had the story, as well as the paper had the story. Read the article and check you favorite local news.
