May 25, 2026 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:07 to 2:13 pm and there were seven seals seen during that time.
Alone on the rock flats Lanikai of LPB was PO3. Marilyn is still unsure of the sex of PO3. She seems to get only brief looks at the ventral of this seal. She can see the Allflex tag on the RRF. PO3 seems to be doing okay on its own.
In the middle of LPB and barely moving were RK38 Hali'a and her
pup PO4. Marilyn did see PO4 nurse for an extended period of time, but otherwise there was little movement. Marilyn expects RK38 to wean the pup any day.
Initially about 50 feet Lanikai side of the 2BS were Pua RF34 and her pup PO5. PO5 nursed and then the pair entered the water about 12:23 pm. They hauled out closer to Middle Cliff about an hour later. PO5 again nursed and went into snooze mode.
A Juvenile Male was on the Lanikai side of Middle Cliff, but moved about 35 feet  closer to Middle Cliff when RF34 and PO5 hauled out where the J/M had been resting. The J/M is larger juvenile size with a fair amount of green and two red tags.
A Juvenile Female was out on RRB: juvenile size, female belly, lots of green and two red tags.

Out on the west side Team R&B's first sighting was an Unknown Adult. The U/A was foraging alone at the rest camp side. They didn't have enough to get an ID, but did note the U/A has a lot of green.

Next they did a check at Paradise cove but there was no parking. They were able to get in line and Barb went to check while hubby waited. There on the luau side was R416. Today all was okay, and there were two women there keeping an eye on him. They said he was in the water swimming about and landed about 7 AM.  Team R&B hung out until about 11ish. A volunteer arrived with signs and ropes. They updated the volunteer who the seal was and the other ladies told her when he arrived.

Lastly they made their way to the cliffs. They noted all the beaches and parks were packed today. Finally after searching they spotted a seal on the rocks. There alone snoozing was RP30 Puka. He is looking good.
To finish their day they watched the dolphins do what they do best.
