Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:20 to 1:26 pm and there were just the three moms and their pups.
In the middle of LPB were MO3 and PO3. They mainly snoozed during Marilyn's short viewing session. Marilyn did see PO3's Allflex tag.
Between the 1BS and 2BS were RF34 Pua and PO5. They may have hauled out shortly before Marilyn arrived. PO5 moved behind mom for awhile then moved into view again. Both seem fine.
About 30 feet on the Middle Cliff side of the 3BS were RK38 Hali'a and PO4. The pup nursed during much of Marilyn's viewing session. Then PO4 moved up behind mom. RK38 still looks like she has the reserves to nurse for two more weeks. Her lower neck/upper chest scar was visible. Marilyn did see PO4's Allflex tag. Both seem to be doing fine.
Team R&B started on the west side. Their first find was a big male RG32, they hadn't seen him in a long time. He is looking healthy.
While watching RG32 they spotted a boobie who caught a big fish. Seems the fish was too big to eat, so he flew off.
Over at kahe they found RS32. She was alone snoozing. There was a crab nibbling on her hind flippers, probably eating the algae. RS32 didn't seem to mind.
They spotted a seal foraging. They're not sure who and saw it had red tags. The seal came into the shoreline vocalizing with its mouth wide open. He hung out for a some time, they didn't see any wounds. Theythink it is a male.
All the folks got out to allow him to land and he almost did but then a diver came in. Everyone was telling him there was a seal but the guy didn't see it. Then the seal and the diver locked eyes and the seal left. Team R&B believe the seal could be RL20 but not sure.
They were heading to yoks side, but today the road was closed off from Waikomos bridge. So they made a turn and went to a nearby beach. There were three turtles that landed. They spent a little time enjoying them.
