9/13/2015 DB's Dailies: Kaiwi,Kainoa&U/M@RI, Luana@Hidden Bch, RIP&Benny@KP, Holokai@TB

It was an unfun day out there in the gloom & wet. Thanks to Melanie for behaving the elements, and for sacrificing the camera to the rain at Spitting Cave. Missus W could not be stopped today, she was goin’ to the End of the World, no matter what, since she went cold turkey yesterday.

At 0730 I found my U/M once again at 3BS on Rabbit Island. He remains an unknown.

At Kainoa (RN04) hauled out 60 ft left of 1BS on RI.

On a pan at 0855 I found Kaiwi (RK96) just hauling out at Seal Rock Inlet. After a brief rest, she galumphed up to hang with the U/M for the rest of the day. There was no interaction.

Marilyn’s KP trek was definitely worth it. She found a molting Luana (RN58) at Hidden Beach both on the way in and on the way out.  Ken Tingman’s shots from yesterday, showed her molt also (see Y/N).

At Ka’ena Point Marilyn found RIP (RR70), initially, and later Benny (RE74) did a drive by before hauling out for the day.

Karen Turner checked in at 1530 to advise that she had braved the rains, and found Holokai foraging, NE of the birth site. He would later haul out to that NE location .

As mentioned previously, Ken Tingman did the KP trek yesterday and reported Luana (RN58) at Hidden Beach on the way in. She would be joined by RW02 on his way out. At the point he found Ka’ena (RO40).
