Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12 noon to 1:53 pm and there were three seals seen during that time. Given the prediction of stormy weather for the week, she took her chances out there today.
In the depression in LPB was an Unknown Unknown: probably sub-adult to adult size, no info on sex or tags.
Near SRI was a Sub-adult Unknown: sub-adult to adult size, gray coat, no info on sex or tags.
Out on RRB was a an Adult Unknown: probably adult size and at least one tag, no info on sex or tags.
Team R&B found RG28 Lefty at pokai today. He has so many cc scars, as they said like his mom Pohaku. RG28 was on the rocks at the zen area alone today. They did note his big gash on left fore flipper is all healing.
Next they headed to thee west side. They found RW02 PvKauai on shore alone. Yesterday he was with his buddy RG28, but as mentioned RG28 moved on.
They were thrilled to find N45 Na'au early today. He was resting and it was difficult to get a good photo of him They hung around for a while but he barely moved. They were cautious not to attract attention to him Such a sweet little one.
Next seal on west side was RP30 Puka. Seems he stayed at the same spot, but today he had company. Next to him was big momma RH76 Kala.
When they made a stop at electric beach they spotted a big male on shore. They believe this big boy is RH32 Kaale who they haven't seen in quite a while. There were some folks out and about taking photos.
Last stop they headed over to plains. They found Miss Aukai RL12
resting in a zone. She was alone today and she was the only seal they found at plains.

While onsite they saw a shadow fly over and when they looked up to check it was a seagull. Not very common here on the island. Maybe the weather system has something to do with it.
