Their first find today was RP30 Puka. He was alone on shore, despite the big waves, wind and rain. He was just fine.
Next stop at kahe they spotted a seal on the rocks. They hurried over before the rain started again. They made a quick ID RL20 Kalua. Then the skies opened up and they got soaked running back to the car. They noted the coast line is brown from so much of the runoff.
They headed back to the west side and found RU12 Poli sleeping on the rocks all by herself. Then a tourist came alone acting like she never saw the seal, so Team R&B waited. The woman walked up to RU12 and started talking to her. RU12 opened her eyes and the woman decided to sit on a rock next to her. That's when they spoke up, and told the woman to move away.
While still in the area they were surprised they actually spotted this seal, he was next to a plastic bin and they thought it was a float. Then they saw flippers, it took them to get into a position to make an ID of RP28 Wakea. Good eyes !!!
