Their first find today was the lovely Miss Lei Ola RH48. She was way up in the rocks, making it difficult to get a good photo. They waited around and finally were able to get a couple of photos for ID purposes.
She is a big girl !!
Then they headed over to Makua where they spotted a seal from afar. They were able to determine it was a male. Unfortunately some people came by and got really close, so Team R&B made their way over. They were able to ID RW02 Pv Kauai. He had lots of people coming by even someone walking their dog, thankfully on a leash. Its frustrating when you see this day after day, people just not giving the seal room to rest.
While on site they heard a pretty bird song, and they found a Leothrix in the bushes. Pretty song, pretty bird.
Next stop was at Kahe where they found two seals. They were thrilled to see RK72 Kekoa Alii resting on the rocks. To his right in a small pond was R617, he was in such a sound sleep he was snoring.
As usual they looked out over the water and were happy to see some whales, doing some pectoral slaps.
They also got to see some awesome dolphin.
Their last find of the day was RH32 Kaale with another adult male. They couldn't make the ID so it was reported as an Unknown Male. They were both onshore resting, well until some people came around. Whether they are tourists or residents they just do disrespectful to the seals.
