8/3/2018 Monk Seal Dailies: (part 1) RH32, RH48, RL42, RR70

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. Team Billand had a more productive day then yesterday. Lesley's complete Ka'ena Update is part 2 of the dailies.

Team was out early morning to check the all you can eat breakfast buffet. When they arrived they spotted good ol' Ka'ale foraging on his own.  He was pigging out as usual, catching and eating, eating and catching. Team Billand watched him for a bit and then when to check the other beaches.  Later in the day they returned to check on Ka'ale but never saw him again.

Team Billand's next find was the lovely Miss Lei Ola RH48 alone. She was resting on the rocks her tags were visible and hook visible.

At a nearby beach not to far from Lei Ola they came across a very green RL42 Leia resting on the rocks with water gently splashing. She was ID'd by her tag.

Team Billand headed out to Ka'ena West where they came across a very cute male. There were no tags seen, he was alone and resting. The only markings they could see was a half cookie cutter scar underbelly. There was a line scar mid back/shoulders and a scar between his eyes. He has another scar on left side of lower body close to hind flipper and three line scars on right side of neck. He also has very long whiskers, which seems to be the same critter Lesley encountered yesterday "whiskers".

Team Billand's last find for the day was after leaving Ka'ena West, they went to check a couple of beaches and that is when they found RIP RR70. He was resting in one of the little ponds (for those folks who have followed the blog for a long time you may remember "Benny's play boy pond".  RIP's tags were visible, ding on his back. And just yesterday he was at the Ka'ena West 40 mark.
