Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:47 to 12:15 pm and there were two seals seen during that time.
Back against the cliff behind RRB was Juvenile Unknown 1: juvenile size, brownish coat, no info on sex or tags.
Against the cliff between middle cliff and 3BS was Juvenile Unknown 2: juvenile size, yellow ventral, not sure about sex, older coat and no info on tags.
Team R&B started their day on the west side where they went looking for N45. When they arrived theyheard some commotion and there were kids yelling. When they looked they realized there was seal on the rocks right where everyone walks and jumps off the rocks. The seal was RS32, who was upset and kept leaping at the kids passing by. Finally the neighbor let the kids go through his yard and RS32 remained.
They were searching what seemed like forever for N45 aka Temp 402. They texted some friends who spotted a seal but Team R&B didn't see it. Then they decided to drive over to the area and there he was.
N45 was where the Buffalo Surg meet was going on. There were tons of people, cheering and walking by little N45. At one point the announcer said " Stay away from the seal, 50 feet or you could get a fine"
Team R&B did their best to keep people back, One woman asked why the lifeguards don't put anything up. They had asked the other day and was told no. N45 managed to rest in spite of the crowd and noise. Finally after yelling out, the lifeguard finally put up signs for RIP Currents with yellow tape and two orange flags. Team R&B extended their gratitude.
In addition they found two other seals at a different location. R416 was to the right of the waterfront rocks . The other seal was RG32.
From afar they saw two seals at electric beach. One was an Adult Male, and the other was an Unknown adult. They couldn't make any IDs, plus there were so many people out on the beach.
They made their way out to Plains. There were two seals in two different locations
First seal was RL12 Aukai. She was at the fence line. The other seal was R407 and he was by the surf shack..
