February 17, 2026 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:55 to 1:35 pm. A short session due to the winds and high surf.

There was only one seal seen during that time.

Between 3BS and SRI was a Sub-adult Female: larger sub-adult to small adult size, tan female belly and at least one and probably two red tags.

Team R&B searched many of the beaches in Makaha and weren't finding any seals. They checked all

the spots where they had seen Temp 402. There weren't' any wallows or poop to be found.

They backed tracked and from afar they spotted signs on shore so they hurried over. There was a small seal, a volunteer and tourist. They were relieved to see it was Temp 402.

He was at the shoreline getting washed over by the waves. Then he moved down further and a wave took him out. Team R&B kept track of him. They spotted a bird diving and saw a school of fish. Two people were yelling there was a seal behind them.

It took them a bit but they spotted the seal diving, so they waved over to the volunteer. They told her the seal was doing 2 minute dives and up for about 40 seconds. Team R&B had to head out to an appointment.

On the way to their appointment they managed to stop at Kahe. A woman told them there were two seals on the sand. They walked over and saw RL20 Kalua with another adult seal that they couldn't ID. A man walked in front of them and RL20 postured and barked at the guy.

Before leaving the site they quickly checked another spot. They found two males resting on the rocks,

It was RK72 Kekoa and RG32.

As they were heading for the car they saw a bunch of people onshore from afar. They were all facing thesame way towards the water. There were two seals trying to haul up on shore in the middle of all these people. The seals kept moving up the shore and the people didn't do anything to give them space.
