April 8, 2024 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 2:30 and there were six seals seen during that time.
There were three seals on LPB:
Closest to the LPB surge channel was an Adult Male: adult size, mottled medium gray male belly, unsure about tags.

Initially closer together closer to 1BS were two seals:
Adult Female: adult size, light tan female belly, unsure about tags. Her back was mostly visible so there wasn't much to go on.
Next to her was a seal Marilyn believes is TA68 Laysan, whom she had seen at Sandys yesterday. He was ID'd by his adult size, medium gray male belly with a rectangular natural bleach, two small cc scars on his right side and a new larger cc bite on his right side and at least one red tag.  He is the seal who was born on Laysan, who has been seen at Ka'ena Point and the west side since showing up on Oahu. Yesterday was the first time Marilyn was aware of him on the southeast side of Oahu.
TA68 charged over to the AM and the AM then headed for the water, but turned around when TA68 turned back to the Adult Female.

Momma RF34 Pua and pup (who is 1 week old today) were again at Middle Cliff. They mostly snoozed during  this viewing session. Marilyn did see one nursing session.
Out near SRI was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, pale yellow female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B's first find today was RM31 Kai. He was already hauled
up on the rocks. While there they saw RL20 Kalua hauling up.
They got to see an interesting plane fly by.

Their next find was at Nimitz, out on Kermit's Reef was RN14 Kalani. Today they waited for him to flip over and they got to see his applied N14 bleach.

Lastly they spotted a seal from afar and there were folks sitting next to it. They hurried over to the site and they saw it was Kai RM31 who relocated to electric beach.
They saw there were old signs up and Team R&B asked who had put the signs up. They were really shocked to hear a homeless guy with a white dog. Team R&B called the hotline, they didn't know a seal had hauled up and when they were told about the signs they said oh good.  Which makes me wonder why Team R&B aren't allowed to put up signs, or their signs are taken away! Hmmmmmmm.....
