Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:23 to 1:56 pm and there were ten seals seen during that time. Wow!
MO3 & PO3 were again on LPB. PO3 moved away from mom near to the water, but later returned to mom. Both MO3 & PO2 appear to be normal and healthy.
About 60 feet Makapuu of the 3BS were RF34 Pua and PO5. Both seem to be doing well. Marilyn saw one nursing session and lots ofsnoozing..
About 60 feet further in Makapuu direction were MO4 and PO4. Both are doing well. At one point PO4 appeared to vocalize for MO4 to pay attention. MO4 was not pleased when she saw RL08 about 50 feet away and vocalized.
There were four seals in or near the SRI channel. They kept moving around making it problematic to keep their IDs sorted out.
A Juvenile Female was initially alone on the beach up from SRI channel: larger juvenile size, old coat, yellow female belly and some green, unsure about tags.
Initially on the Makapuu side of the SRI channel were RL08 and a Sub-adult Female. They had some words before RL08 moved up to the beach and moved in the direction of MO4-PO4. He stopped on the water front rocks and went into snooze mode.
RL08 BamBamSquarePants was ID'd by his large size, gray male belly and his pit scars on left shoulder, right mid-dorsal and right rear.
Then the SF moved up towards the beach and then onto the beach. The SF is sub-adult size, with a light female belly, not sure about tags. Later RL08 moved over to join the JF and SF.
There was an Unknown Sub-adult behind the SRI channel rocks. This seal never came fully out from behind the rocks. Later RL08 moved close to the US.
That is a lot of action happening on the Island.
Team R&B went searching in all the usual spots, but today they started their day with no seals. But they were excited to see a bunch of Boobies show up. They figured there were at least 8 of them.
They got a call of a seal hauled up at plains. So they took off and went to check it out. By the time they got there the seal left and the ropes and signs were still up. They noticed a large piece of driftwood in the zone at the water line so they went down and moved it. They continued to look around and spotted two seals by the fence line in the water fighting.
Aukai RL12 and Kalani RN14 were going at it for a while. Team R&B waited. As soon as Aukai landed RN14 followed still arguing with each other. Team R&B let the Lifeguards know and they brought the signs and ropes over. Team R&B stayed and watched both seals for a couple of hours. They both finally settled in and stayed close to
the fence line.
When they left plains and on their way home they made a stop at kahe. They were happy to see a seal resting on the rocks. It was RL20 Kalua, he was alone and they could see his applied N17 bleach.
