March 18 2023 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island this afternoon from 1:07 to 2:23 and there were three humans on island. Wait what? People aren't suppose to be on island.
There was only one seal on island today, and those folks didn't bother it. BUT they did walk close to it.
Marilyn is reporting the seal as an Unknown Unknown on the waterfront rocks about 30 feet Makapuu side of the 3BS.
U/U- subadult to adult size, Marilyn never saw the ventral size so undetermined sex or tags.
There was some whale activity on the Lanikai side of RI. There was some fishing going on between
Makai Pier and Rabbit Island.

Team R&B and junior sealette made the Ka'ena west trek. It was a beautiful day but they didn't see any seals.
After their walk they covered a few west side spots. They were shocked to see a big seal resting on the rocks at one site. They were happily surprised to find RL42 Leia. They haven't seen her for forever and a day. She is looking quite fat and quite beautiful. Her tag is broken making it unreadable.

At another west side location they found four seals. There was RP30 Puka on high rocks. To the right at the water front rocks was RH76 Kala. RG28 Lefty was at seal inlet. Way on the Honolulu side of the rocks was R3CX Nalu.
