September 27, 2026 Sunday's Dailies

Once again starting their day on the west side and finding the two love birds together again. Kala RH76 and Kai RM31 were hidden in the rocks sound a sleep.  Team R&B rechecked on them three times during the day and they were still there. Except later moved to the shallow pond for a snooze together.

When they first arrived at rest camp in was morning and dark making

it hard to see the seals in the water. The sun popped up a bit and they saw R3CX Nalu chasing an unknown sub-adult. Still unable to get an ID on this young'en with a clean coat.  They also saw Lei Ola briefly, she took off to open ocean and the other two followed leaving Team R&B stranded.  They waited for a while but none of them came back.

They kept scanning beaches from afar and saw a really green adult seal on shore. They headed over to the area, which is kind of "sketchy". There was a homeless guy throwing stuff, so they stayed

away from him. Anyway on shore alone was a male with a green coat. They believe it's Nalu and they think he's starting to molt. He molted here last year. 

As they drove along the coast they spotted another seal who also had a green coat. It is a male and tags they could see the tag RL08. They had never seen him there before. He's looking big and green! They were surprised to see him.

As a closing note Team R&B (and I agree) they are happy and relieved Hurricane Nolo kept going away from the islands. Today was beautiful, less wind, no rain and sunny skies.
