Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:35 to 1:48 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
About 30 feet on the Middle Cliff side of the 3BS were two seals:
Adult Male: smaller adult size, old coat, dark brown male belly and two red tags.
Sub-adult Unknown: small sub-adult to large juvenile size, newer coat, not sure about sex or tags. The SU briefly moved up shore and appeared to check out what Marilyn thinks was a dead Wedge-tailed Shearwater fledging.
On the rock flats between SRI and RRB was RU38: older weaner size, light yellow female belly and no info on tags.
Team R&B once again started their day at Pokai where they saw multiple seals.
First was a seal coming in and as they watched they ID'd RM31 Kai. He was looking around probably for his little buddy (RU04), who wasn't seen today. He looked all over the rocks and water, when he gave up and hauled up on shore and went to sleep.
Out in the water they spotted RG32 foraging. They didn't see any of the females today. He was still out there later in the day.
Another seal was foraging which was Nalu R3CX. He didn't stick around. Team R&B did see sharks in the area so Nalu disappeared. About an hour later they spotted him hauling out at Makaha.
While checking on Nalu they found two seals on shore resting. One was the lovely RL42 Leia and the other was RH32 Kaale.
They headed out to yoks to see if RW02 was out there and done with his molt. He was not there, but they did find R416 resting on shore in the rain and heavy winds.
They also got to see how beautiful the waves were.
