Their first find this morning was the lovely Miss Kala RH76. They were especially happy to see her since its been awhile. She looks good and healthy and resting peacefully.
While on site with Miss Kala they spotted a seal foraging close by. It was RM31 Kai.
They were equally excited to see the whales out and about again today. They're back and showing off.
Over by the outfall they saw four seals foraging. All of them were adults but Team R&B couldn't get any IDs. One of them hauled out and with the windy rainy conditions it was difficult to get any information.
Weather conditions were terrible, but that didn't stop them from checking on the "mystery" male molter they saw yesterday. He does not have tags and is about 90% molted but they still have no idea who he is.
Then to their surprise they spotted another seal, who they almost missed. When it rains everything looks like a seal but usually are rocks. But today they got lucky and found RP30 Puka.
