September 30, 2025 Tuesday's Dailies

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:29 to 3:19 pm and there were several ( three to five) seals seen during that time.

Near SRI was the same Adult Female, that Marilyn has been seeing lately. Adult size, older coat, female ventral with lots of green, not sure about tags.

On the rock flat between SRI and RRB was what a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, light male belly and at least one red tag

At 1:32 pm a Weaner/Juvenile Unknown hauled out to the S/M. A short while later the two moved into the water and Marilyn saw them playing in the nearshore shallows. They were there for awhile and then she lost sight of them.

At 2:39 pm, two seals hauled out between 1BS and 2BS. They are labeled as a Juvenile Male and Weaner Male. The JM was juvenile size, older coat, yellow male belly with considerable green, and two red tags. The Weaner Male was weaner size, with a more recent coat, light male belly and two red tags. Marilyn doesn't think its the same two seals seen between SRI and RRB, but then again they could be.

Team R&B first find today was Miss Kala RH76. She was alone today at her zen pond resting peacefully. Team R&B noticed many of the signs for the birds were tossed all over the place, such a shame. There

was a cop close by and they asked if all was okay, the officer was just making a routine check. Seems they missed the two dudes fighting by the bath house. Lets hope all are safe including our Kala.

When Team R&B checked later in the day, RH76 Kala wasn't happy with the visitors in the area. However there was a very happy fisherman with his big barracuda.

At rest camp the place was busy. There were three seals foraging and sharks out there again, along with swimmers. They were able to ID two of the seals as RH48 Lei Ola and R3CX Nalu. The 3rd seal

showed up and so did the sharks. There was a lot of splashing, then the seals headed towards the beach at rest camp, fought for a bit, one of them landed and then they left. Team R&B was not able to get an ID on the 3rd seal or the one that briefly hauled out.

Next they stopped at Kahe and found one seal. There alone on the rocks was the handsome RL20 Kalua.

While watching over him they got to watch the dolphins doing what they do best, having fun.

They were ready to call it a day but got a call of a seal hauled out at plains. In spite of being tired they went to check and found Miss Huakai KG89. Big thanks to the lifeguards for setting up a zone for her.

Miss Huakai is looking fine and has a line scar from her hooking, but it okay.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:21 to 3:21 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.

Just as Marilyn started viewing one seal and then another seal hauled out from SRI.

The first seal was an Adult Female: smaller adult size, older coat with lots of green on the ventral, female belly and two red tags.

The following seal was an Adult Male: adult size, brown male belly and at least one tag.

The two seals had a brief interaction, but then settled and went into snooze mode.

On the rock flat between SRI and RRB was a Juvenile Male: larger juvenile size, older coat with some green, male belly and two red tags.

Team R&B's first find was once again Miss Kala RH76. She was resting near her zen pond, then moved up to the rocks due to the surf.

Mr. Kai RM31 was also there looking quite relaxed. He was off by himself just chilling.

Over at rest camp they saw RH48 Lei Ola and R3CX Nalu foraging. They must be finding good eats out there. Team R&B watched the two seals foraging to the right. Then they spotted a 3rd seal but couldn't make an ID. They reported it as an Unknown Adult. They saw some splashing and realized it was a shark in the area.

Also they got to see the dolphins out there doing what they best. Having fun!

Lastly they stopped at Kahe where they saw a mid sized seal. It had

been there for a bit since its coat was dry, making it hard to see him in the rocks. But thankfully he showed a tag, it was RP30 Puka. Its been awhile since they have seen him. They tried to see if there were any hooks, but he didn't cooperate and didn't show much of himself.
