Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:37 to 1:39 pm and there was only one seal seen during that time.
Between 3BS and SRI was RU38: weaner size, golden female belly and two red tags.
Team R&B's first find was cutie patootie RU12. She was hauled out on the rocks and remained there all day. While watching RU12 they happened to spot another seal hauled out. It was R3CX Nalu. He also remained there all day. Guess they're all tuckered out.
And then there were the foragers. Team R&B ID'd Kai RM31 when he showed up. He was out there foraging. Then they spotted RG32 foraging and pursuing RH48 Lei Ola.
Over by rest-camp Team R&B heard the lifeguard say "stay back of the Hawaiian Monk Seal, give it some space! Team R&B saw a young clean seal on shore who turned out to be RP28 Wakea. He wasn't there in the afternoon.
They found their old buddy Kaale RH32 hauled out on the rocks. There was a young fisher to his right, and he was very respectful. Kaale didn't seem to mind him there and continued his rest. He is a big bugga!!
Next by the outfall they saw three seals foraging. One with a clean coat and scar on face was RL12 Aukai. The second seal they ID'd RL08 with his CC scars. The last one was reported as Unknown Adult with a lot of green on its coat.
After foraging RL08 made his way and hauled out by Kaale. The two of them entered the water and were playing like old buddies.
Team R&B ended their day by going back to where they started. They were happy they did because on the front rocks was another cutie patootie RU04.
Lastly they spotted a cute and very alert mongoose checking out the scenery.
