November 23, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:48 to 2:48 pm and there were three seals seen during that time. Initially there was an Adult Unknown on the Lanikai side of LPB: adult size, newer coat, no info on sex or tags.

At 1:17 pm a Sub-adult Unknown hauled out near the 1BS: sub-adult to small adult size, newer coat, no into on sex, and Marilyn did not see tags.

At 1:00 pm a Unknown Weaner hauled out down from the 3BS: weaner size, newer coat, two red tags and no info on sex.

Team R&B headed to their first stop and waited for two hours for a seal to show up. Then they were surprised to find RU12 hiding in the rocks in a shallow pond. She was alone and stayed for the entire day snoozing.

Next there were the foragers. Seems everyone was running late today as it took them a while to show up. They first spotted RM31 Kai. Then they spotted R3CX Nalu foraging further out.

They saw RH48 Lei Ola coming in and she was alone. Later RG32 showed from the Honolulu side following Lei Ola. Later in the afternoon Lei Ola hauled out rest camp side. Team R&B noted that RG32 had some scratches on his side and back, they weren't sure if maybe he's begun a molt.

Team R&B spotted an Unknown Adult from afar in Makaha. By the time they got to the site there was a woman with a stick and no seal. There were foot prints where the seal had been resting. Nothing more frustrating, then again we really don't know what took place, but we can make an educated guess.

Next stop was to the outfall area where there were three seals foraging. One of them hauled out, it was big boy RL08.

The other two continued to forage and Team R&B couldn't get anything for an ID. They were reported as Unknown Adults.

Next they headed over to yoks and were happy to find their old friend RG28 Lefty. He was on shore along with lots of people out and about today.

They decided to go back and check on RU12 who was still in the same spot. But now there was RU04 slumped over the rocks. Two weaners hanging out in the same area. Team R&B are over the moon!!
