December 1, 2025 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:30 to 2:33 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Between Middle Cliff and 3BS was a Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, newer coat, light female belly. tags were not seen.
Near SRI was an Adult Female: large adult size, greenish-gray female belly, at least one and probably two red tags. Marilyn thinks this female may be pregnant in that she seems quite large.
At 12:47 pm, Marilyn saw a small seal near SRI inlet that then moved over next to the AF. Marilyn is labeling this seal as a Weaner Unknown: weaner size, no info on sex or tags. The AF rolled over when the WU approached, but made no move to scare it off. The weaner appeared to snooze just under the AF's snout.
Out at RRB were two seals:
RK24 Bruno: adult size, scar on lower lip, molted gray male belly, no info on tags.
A second seal hauled out next to and front of RK24. This seal is
labeled as an Unknown Adult: sub-adult to adult size, newer coat. The UA moved part way back down the channel. No info on sex or tags. The UA could no longer be seen at 1:54 and RK24 was gone at 2:29 pm.

Team R&B arrived at pokai and there was one seal hauled out. They ID'd RM31 Kai alone on the rocks snoozing in peace. He was there all day.
There were no foragers out there today, first time in a long time.
Then to their delight they spotted another seal coming in. It was sweet little RU04. She didn't seem to be aware that RM31 was just a short distance from her. She had her own space to spend the day resting.
Team R&B made the walk out to Makaha and was glad they did. There on shore they found RU40, another cutie. Team R&B are in heaven having these weaners around to watch over.
Now what gets really fun is a short distance away from RU40 was her
Mama RL42 Leia. She is chubby and was resting peacefully.  Not to mention they caught a glimpse at a couple of whales.

Last stop at yoks they found RG28 Lefty. They waited around to see if he would move to show his tags, but he did not cooperate. He was covered in sand in snooze mode.
