Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:05 to 1:40 pm and there were only the mom and pups seen during that time.
When Marilyn first started viewing RF34 Pua and her pup PO4 were hauled out about midway between 3BS and SRI. RF34's ID was confirmed by her two red tags and her right rear side scar. Pua and pup were mostly in snooze mode until shortly before Marilyn left, when PO4 was nursing. Both mom and pup seem well.
At 12:34 pm, Marilyn became aware of MO3 and PO3 on the water front rocks almost directly down from the 3BS. PO3 nursed for awhile. Later they moved up and were partially hidden behind a water front rock. Both Mom and pup seem well. Both PO3 and PO4 have only a little more than a week before they will wean.
Team R&B go out everyday hoping there are seals to be found. This morning they were happy to find RH76 Kala on front rocks at pokai. She was "arguing" with another seal, R3CX Nalu. He was trying to get closer to her, but she wasn't having it.
The dolphins were out and while watching them R3CX Nalu left. They never saw him again, but Kala remained.
Whenever they see the dolphins they check out their fins for markings and that is how they recognize them. Today they saw two they recognize "Lumpfin" and "Hook" names they gave them.
Over at the outfall they waited for a while to see if any seals were around. They saw one large seal with red tags foraging and were not able to make an ID.
There was a second seal who was very green. The seal kept going into the outfall, which Team R&B believe could be RL20 Kalua. They weren't able to get anything to confirm his ID.
