Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:38 to 1:40 pm and there were four seals seen during this time. Weather conditions were heavy overcast and some light sprinkles.
Down from 1BS was Sub-adult Unknown 1: sub-adult size, older coat, not sure about sex or tags.
Between 3BS and SRI was the molting Adult Male: smaller adult size, molting, no info on tags. Marilyn wasn't able to determine how far along his is.
On RRB was Sub-adult Unknown 2: this is probably the sub-adult female that Marilyn has been reporting at this location.
Team R&B were out by rest camp where they watched so many kayaks, hydro boarders, swimmers and one seal foraging in the middle of all this. They ID'd Miss Lei Ola RH48. There were times when she was side by side with a paddler.
They also saw an boat netting for crabs. DLNR came by and spoke with the man, possibly in an area where they shouldn't have been fishing/netting.
They spotted RG32 briefly, but he didn't stay in the area for long.
Their only other find today were the two boys at Makaha. Resting high up on shore was R3CX Nalu who still has some old fur on his face. Then there was sweet RP28 Wakea nearby. They noted he looked thin today, hmm could have fooled me by the looks of his photo. 😊
