Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:29 to 2:06 pm and there was only one seal seen during that time.
In the middle of LPB was RU38: weaner size, yellowish female belly and two red tags.
Team R&B started their day by finding RU12. There was a volunteer on site. RU12 stayed for the day.
Then there were multiple seals foraging. It was a challenge keeping upwith them today. The first to be ID'd was Kai RM31, then there was RG32 who continues his molt. Next there was Wakea RP28 who spent time foraging and playing with RM31. They ID'd RL20 Kalua who also spent time foraging and fighting out there today. Then there was Nalu R3CX and also the lovely Miss Lei Ola RH48. Team R&B got a couple pics of two of the seals playing/fighting. They weren't able to determine which two.
Over by the outfall area they saw the unknown adult with green coat, also a scar on the right side of its head. They did not see any tags, and they think its a male.
Of course the other Unknown Adult with the clean coat and cc scar on its side showed up.
Team R&B watched the men fishing when they suddenly tan to the poles. There was a seal, it toll the line, and the fisher reeled it in, the line broke. Team R&B wasn't able to get an ID on the seal with the hook.
Team R&B went back to recheck on RU12 who was still there. This
time there was a fat female seal on the rocks. They ID'd RL70 Leina. Then four kids came by yelling at the seals. Needless to say Team R&B scolded them and at first they didn't listen. When they got too close to RU12 they scolded them again and thankfully this time they listened.
They spotted a seal from afar hauling up at tracks. They ID'd RP30 Puka by the scar on the right lower side, qne two red tags. There were people on the beach some got a little close. Puka spent time playing with an object which might have been a flashlight. Eventually the object got washed away.
