Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:32 am to 1:48 pm and there were four seals seen during that time. The clouds were so low they covered the top third of Kojo Crater, Makapuu Overlook and Rabbit Island.
Against some of the rocks near the LPB surge channel was an Adult Female: chubby adult size, gray female belly, no info on tags.
Down from the 3BS was an Adult Unknown: chunky adult size, scar on right rear side, no info on tags or sex. This is possibly RF34 Pua who is predicted to give birth at the end of the month.
Initially up against the cliff at RRB was a Sub-adult Unknown 1: sub-adult size, older coat, mottled tan and brown belly, no info in sex or tags. SU1 appeared to be aware of a Red-Tailed Tropic Bird that landed nearby which seemed to cause the seal to move down onto the rubble beach .
Near the entrance to the RRB surge channel was Sub-adult Unknown 2: sub-adult size, light yellow belly, probably female, no info on tags.
There was a brown booby on the beach near the 1BS for the first hour.
Team R&B searched the west side and didn't find any seals. They also mentioned the clouds covering the mountains. They decided to head over to plains and while they were on their way they got a text of two seals hauled out. Then there was another text of another seal and before they got to the site a final text saying there were five seals. Once they got there a sixth seal arrived.
The first seal they saw was RT06 alone by the fence line.
Next they came across two seals together in a zone set up for them. It was RP20 a little female hanging out R407.
In the next zone were two seals the lovely Miss Aukai RL12 in the company of RN!4 Kalani.
While checking them out they spotted a guy surfing with his dog..... how cute is that?
Team R&B went to grab some lunch and got another text of another seal #6 hauling up. They got back to the site and saw seal #6 was RG32 who made his way over to RL12 Aukai. He fought with RN14 who took off but didn't leave the area. RN14 moved on to RT06 and they both entered the water together. And that's when the fighting went on for a while. Then RT06 hauled out by R407 and RP20 and the three of them settled in. RN14 Kalani was on his own. He hauled out by the Ewa side of the fence line.
