October 8, 2025 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:55 to 3:33 pm and there were six seals seen during that time.
On LPB initially alone was molting RQ44 Mahina: small adult size,  (even though she is less than 3 1/2 years old) about 99% molted, new coat light gray female belly and three tags.
Weaner Unknown: weaner or juvenile size, two red tags, lighter ventral, not sure about sex.
Later RQ44 moved near the Unknown Weaner.
Between 3BS and SRI was an Unknown Unknown: apparently dark dorsal and lighter ventral, two red tags, no info on size or sex. Marilyn commented she wanted to call this seal the "blob".
Near SRI were three seals:
Unknown Adult: small adult size, old coat with lots of green and at least one red tag. This is probably yesterday's adult male #2. Marilyn never saw its ventral today.
Juvenile Male: larger juvenile size, new coat, light gray male belly and two red tags.
Adult Male: adult size, older coat, male belly and two red tags.

Marilyn got word from Gamma Gayle that RT62 Ka'iwa was in the neighborhood.  Marilyn went to check in and found RT62 (RJ30 Wailea's 2024 Moku Nui pup) on the rock flats. She is small juvenile size, very green female belly, T62 & T63 tags. She appears to have started her molt which is about 15%. She has a scar on her right shoulder which she did not have the last time Marilyn saw her.

Team R&B started their day at Pokai. They found Miss Kala RH76 at her zen pond. She was alone today snoozing peacefully.
While watching over her their Boobie Buddy was hanging out at his spot.  Then a fisher came by and now Boobie Buddy has a fisherman buddy. He tossed him some fish in which buddy gobbled up.

Today the couple Lei Ola RH48 and Nalu R3CX were together again but by the jetty. They had guests stop close to the jetty in a nice boat.  The family on board were very excited. The boat anchored and folks got into the water for a swim by the jetty.

This morning they spotted three seals by the outfall area and beyond. They were all foraging. Team R&B was able to ID RL08 and RH32 Kaale. They couldn't get anything on the third seal so it was reported as an Unknown Adult with a clean coat.
