October 24, 2025 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:07 to 2:57 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Between 3BS and SRI was a molting Adult Male: small adult size, older dorsal about 45% molted and two red tags.
On the rock flat on the Makapuu side of SRI was Unknown Juvenile 1: juvenile size, newer coat, no info on sex or tags. The seal moved down and behind the waterfront rocks. Marilyn suspects this is the J/M she has seen in the location the past few days.
At RRB were two seals:
Unknown Juvenile 2: juvenile size, newer coat with light gray ventral, no info on sex or tags, because the seal was mostly hidden behind the Sub-adult Female:
Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, older coat, yellow green female belly, unsure about tags.
In the RRB channel was an Unknown Unknown: all Marilyn could see was a sliver of a yellow ventral. The seal disappeared at 1:20 pm and was not seen seen again.

Team R&B found their first two seals foraging at Pokai. It was RL12 Aulai and R3CX Nalu, she stayed to the right and he stayed in the middle. He was easy to ID with his molt still going on. They saw a shark in the area. When the shark was splashing , all the seals took off to open waters and stayed further out for awhile.
Still at Pokai they noticed another seal, who they ID'd as RH48 Lei Ola. She was out there foraging.
Then they saw a seal flying out of the water in a big hurry. It had spots on his chin, which let them know it was RM31 Kai. He had showed up when the shark had arrived.

Over at the outfall area they spotted an adult seal with lots of green foraging. They tried their best to get
an ID, and they believe it is RH32 Kaale but aren't 100% sure.

Last stop at Makaha they found Nalu R3CX on shore resting. He was in the company of sweet little RP28 Wakea.  Team R&B were a little upset seeing footprints of a couple kids that may have been playing close to them. Seems the seals had been further up but now both were closer to the waters edge.
Nalu is 90% molted.
