Saturday Team was out and early today.
We started with 2 seals right in front @ Lyman's RN58 "Luana" & R330 "Squinty" , hours later when we came back "Luana" was alone. I re-checked late afternoon and she was no longer here.
While we were doing outreach, checking wallows & trails on Back Beach, Marilyn was up on the Big Rock with her binoculars looking around. From there she spotted 2 seals in Ka'ena's Pool.
We headed back there and watched RO40 "Ka'ena" & RW02 "PVKauai" go at each other then and go around the pool. "PVKauai" threatened to leave, turned back tried an approach, had no reaction from "Ka'ena" so he turned again to leave but not before cleaning his pipes in the pool.
We saw our first Bristle-Thighed Curlew today. They are back from Alaska. More tomorrow
