Team Billand's first find was at 7:15 am at a westside location. They were walking and came across RN14 Kalani. He was alone and resting. They checked back with him two more times and he was still alone.
Early afternoon Team Billand came across a female at Makaha. They did not recognize her but did observe a lot of scars. She has what is known as "mobbing scars" on her mid back. She has scars on her neck area, some CC scars near her rear flippers and a CC scar by her right fore flipper area.
A very subtle natural bleach on her side, no tags. A couple of known females with mobbing scars are KC RK28, was ruled out since this female's belly is cleaner than KC. Don't think it's R8HE, or one of Oahu old favorites Maka'iwi who hasn't been seen in years. There is a possibility this female found her way here from Ni'ihau.
As soon as they get confirmation from the PIFSC/NOAA we'll let you know.
