7/16/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:

Team Billand as usual were out early. They spotted Ka'ale RH32 outside of the outfall eating, and then he came into the outfall. He was foraging and Team Billand saw at least four akule fish.  After an hour so they spotted a lot of splashing going on. They thought maybe Ka'ale was struggling with a big catch, but it was another seal.

They were able to ID the other seal as RN14 Kalani. He cam in and started fighting with Ka'ale, trying to get him to leave the outfall, as he has done before. But Ka'ale is stubborn and they continued to fight. During their rumble they both left the outfall and ended up on a nearby beach. The boys continued their brawl on shore. Ka'ale ended up ditching Kalani and returned to the outfall to forage. ( man nothing keeps this kid from eating). 

Team Billand did not see RN14 Kalani for the rest of the day.  A couple of hours later Ka'ale RH32 went out to sea and not seen again for today.

Team Billand did Ka'ena West and found no critters. They stopped by Makaha and saw signs had been posted but there were no seals, and no one around to ask.
