At 0847 Don checked in with a report of Ka'ale (RH32) at the Mokuleia pup site. Ka'ale was in the shallows between the rocks. ID was made by tags H32/H33. At 1044 Don checked back in with a report of Luana (RN58) hauling out at the Mokuleia pup site. Id was made by N59 tag.
Beverly checked in via email from the Turtle Bay pup site. She reported normal mom and pup activity. Observed mom and pup in the water and nursing. Beverly noted that Ua Maile (RT10) is looking thin. PO5 appears healthy. Beverly provided outreach for some tourist who came to visit the site. They were interested in learning about monk seals. Mahalo Beverly!
